French Kiss Vs Hoo Cheung

At a very early hour and under very hot circumstances, French Kiss started its season in Division Two against one of the potential top 5 teams, Hoo Cheung. Out of 15 players, 5 were new and all 5 proved themselves worthy French Kiss players. Hoo Cheung had some quick attackers which they tried to find with long balls. Although Hoo Cheung was sometimes dangerous, we controlled the midfield. The first half resulted in two very good chances for Mauro and Edo but both missed. The second half, coach Steven brought in Thomas, Daniele, Lucas and Omar. The heat was tiring and Hoo Cheung got a few very good chances now. A goal could fall on both sides. A free kick close to the Hoo Cheung goal was struck well by Peter. The goalkeeper couldn't control it and Daniele was the first to arrive: 1-0! On the other side, Davido made a brilliant save and in a second occasion, a Hoo Cheung attacker that went through on goal managed to shoot the ball just wide. After an interception on the midfield, Daniele found Thomas who managed to put a beautiful left footed shot. Unluckily, he hit the post. Hoo Cheung was dangerous one more time from a corner but their header went just wide. Being very tired, we were all very happy to hear the final whistle. In the end, it was a deserved win. Despite giving us four yellows, the referee played a very good game as well!A very good start of the season after a pre-season that has not been very friendly to us, with many canceled trainings and friendlies. It can only get better from now on. Go French Kiss!
